KADA

A pair of open worked gold bangles, KADA. The rim is decorated with a knit work of pearls (MOTI JALI). The stones are kundan set with white and blue sapphires. These bangles are an example of one of many Indian wedding ornaments. All matrimonial ornaments and jewellery have the basic function of protecting against evil spirits.
