Gold dress buttons, TA’WIZ-JANZIR of a double gold chain, SANKAL, with 8 PHULLI, studs of open worked collets, kundan set with diamonds. These dress buttons were used in the Kurta or Nehru jacket, traditional Indian menswear, typically fastened with tasseled ties, cloth balls and loops. The apparel was created in India in the 1940’s. The PHULLI pass through two corresponding eyelets in the jacket.
