Intern Creative Assistant – per September 2024

Location: Center of 's-Hertogenbosch About us Van Gelder Jewellery is a growing international jewelry company specializing in jewelry from India. From our office and Gallery on the Parade in 's-Hertogenbosch, the entire company process from design, styling, product development, campaigns, procurement, sales to logistics is managed. Production mainly takes place in our studios in India and Amsterdam. Van Gelder Jewellery is sold through Van Gelder Galleries (B2C), selected jewelers both domestically and internationally (B2B), and online via the website www.vangelderjewellery.com. The working environment is inspiring and suitable for the high-end market segment in which we operate. The atmosphere is positive, dynamic, international, service-oriented, and results-driven. What will you be doing? As an intern at Van Gelder, you will have the opportunity to use your creative skills and contribute to the growth of our exclusive jewelry brand. You will work closely with our marketing department. Some of the tasks include:

What’s your day like? Every day is different, but we always start the day with a delicious cappuccino or cup of tea. You work closely with colleagues and you are involved in various activities, such as:

1. Photography and Image Editing:

Preparing for photoshoots and campaigns

Photographing our exclusive jewelry collections in a studio environment to capture their beauty and details. This includes both pack shots and editorial work.

Editing and retouching images.

Ensuring consistent style and theme in our visual communication.

Maintaining our extensive image archive of various collections, travels, and events.

assist our sales, customer service and support team

maintain and develop supplier and manufacturer relationships

2. Social Media Management:

Contributing to and overseeing the content strategy for our social media channels.

Brainstorming, creating, and planning engaging visual content, including photos, videos, and illustrations.

Actively participating in the community and responding to questions and comments from our followers.

Actively contributing to exchanges with competitors/peers/benchmark brands.

Contributing to increasing brand awareness within the right target audience, the number of followers, and engagement on our social media account.

3. Brainstorming and Innovating:

Proposing ideas for creative campaigns, partnerships, and content innovations to strengthen our brand.

Keeping up with the latest trends in visual communication and social media to continuously improve our strategy.

What do we expect from you?

You are proficient in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

You are following a relevant MBO / HBO degree in marketing/communication/media;

You are communicative, creative, and proactive and able to work independently.

You have a passion for visual creation, photography, and image editing;

You are up to date with the latest trends in social media;

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, etc.) and Shopify is a plus;

An eye for detail and a sense of aesthetics are essential;
