Shipping 

At Van Gelder Jewellery, we take great care to ensure your piece arrives safely and beautifully. All in-stock orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days. If an item is not immediately available, we will personally contact you with an estimated delivery timeframe.

Depending on the destination and order details, shipping costs may apply and will be clearly communicated at checkout.

Orders are shipped via trusted courier partners. While we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date, deliveries are typically made Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. You will receive updates as your order progresses.

All shipments are fully tracked and require a signature upon delivery. If a delivery attempt is missed, our courier will make up to two additional attempts.

You will receive a tracking reference once your order has been dispatched. Risk of loss or damage transfers to you upon signature at the delivery address provided. Once signed for, the jewellery is under your full care.

For international deliveries, any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees are the responsibility of the recipient, unless otherwise stated at checkout. We do not ship to P.O. boxes or parcel lockers.

Returns & Refunds

We hope you are delighted with your Van Gelder Jewellery purchase. This Returns & Refunds policy applies only to purchases made directly from Van Gelder Jewellery, whether through our website, our Gallery in ’s-Hertogenbosch, or via our customer service channels.

Products purchased through authorized Van Gelder Jewellery retailers are subject to the retailer’s own return and refund policies. In such cases, Van Gelder Jewellery is not responsible for processing returns, exchanges, or refunds. Please contact the retailer where you made your purchase for further assistance.

1 – Requesting a Return or Exchange

For eligible purchases made directly from Van Gelder Jewellery, please email us within 14 days of receiving your order at concierge@vangelderjewellery.com to request an exchange or return. Kindly include your name, home address, order number, and phone number.

Our team will respond within 48 hours and provide you with our return address and further instructions.

2 – Preparing Your Return

When returning your jewellery, please ensure the piece, along with its original packaging and certificate, is carefully packed in a sturdy box. Van Gelder Jewellery cannot be held responsible for loss or damage caused by insufficient packaging.

We recommend the following:

  • Place the jewellery back in its Van Gelder Jewellery pouch and then into the presentation box, adding bubble wrap or soft tissue paper for protection.

  • Include the certificate of authenticity and place the presentation box in a smaller pouch or bag before placing it inside the shipping box.

  • You may reuse the box your order arrived in.

  • Make sure everything is secure and will not move during transit.

  • Seal the package carefully before sending.

3 – Shipping Your Return

Return shipping costs are not covered by Van Gelder Jewellery. You are responsible for returning the piece safely to us.

We recommend using a secure, insured, and trackable shipping method that provides proof of posting, as you are responsible for the item until it reaches us. We strongly recommend shipping your return fully insured for the item’s declared value, using a secure and trackable courier.

4 – Return Inspection

Once your return has been received (within 14 days from the date of delivery), it will be carefully inspected by our team.

Please note that bespoke, made-to-order, engraved, or resized jewellery is not eligible for return or refund, unless faulty.

We reserve the right to refuse returns if:

  • the jewellery is not in its original condition;

  • any part of the original packaging (such as the box or pouch) is missing; or

  • the item shows any signs of wear.

5 – Refunds

Once your return has passed our quality checks, we will process your refund for the value of your order, excluding any shipping costs, duties, or taxes.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days after successful inspection, and no later than 30 days from receipt of the return. Refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase. Van Gelder Jewellery is not responsible for any fees charged by your bank or financial institution.
