Jali Collection

Inspired by Mughal architecture, the collection originates from the intricate designs of the traditional Indian jali screens, those lacelike ‘stone curtains’, adorning windows and archways of ancient Mughal forts and palaces, allowing for the circulation of air, shelter from direct sunlight, as well as privacy. In the daytime, sunlight passing through the jali would cast a patterned silhouette on floors and walls inside, creating a playful effect of light and shadow. Conversely, after dark, the lanterns that illuminated the buildings from within create an intimate, glowing effect.
